Engine and Performance

The SE, SEL, Value Edition, and Limited models all come with a standard four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. The fuel-miser Eco trim has a four-cylinder 1.4-liter engine that delivers 128 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque.

Fitted with a four-cylinder, 1.6-liter engine the Elantra Sport produces 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. Engines are matched to a six-speed manual or continuously variable automatic transmission.

Safety Features

The budget-friendly 2020 Elantra Sedan is built to keep you safe while you drive with numerous available safety features. The parking distance warning sensors detect obstacles, and audible alerts ward the driver as your approach the obstacle or other vehicle when in reverse.
