Trim Options

The 2020 Elantra comes in six trim levels, with three available engines. The SE base trim has a limited amount of features. Moving up to the SEL, the Value Edition, and the Limited trim, additions, improvements, and features increase. The Eco model offers a more fuel-efficient engine, while the Sport has a turbocharged engine.

Interior

The budget-friendly 2020 Elantra is acclaimed for its comfort, and supportive and spacious interior. The SEL trim adds a 7-inch infotainment display. Moving up, the Value Edition, adds a few more features, such as a sunroof, push-button start, heated seats, a leather-wrapped steering, and keyless entry.

The Limited model comes with leather upholstery, an eight-speaker Infinity premium sound system, and a wireless charging pad. The Elantra Sport is as equipped as the Limited model, along with a flat-bottomed steering wheel and heated, leather-upholstered sport seats. Optional on the Sport trim, is an 8-inch touch screen, the Infinity sound system, navigation, and Blue Link Car services. 

Engine and Performance

The SE, SEL, Value Edition, and Limited models all come with a standard four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. The fuel-miser Eco trim has a four-cylinder 1.4-liter engine that delivers 128 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque.

Fitted with a four-cylinder, 1.6-liter engine the Elantra Sport produces 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. Engines are matched to a six-speed manual or continuously variable automatic transmission.

Safety Features

The budget-friendly 2020 Elantra Sedan is built to keep you safe while you drive with numerous available safety features. The parking distance warning sensors detect obstacles, and audible alerts ward the driver as your approach the obstacle or other vehicle when in reverse. Blind-spot warning uses radar to detect if another car is in your blind spot, helping you to change lanes safely. High-beam assist automatically detects oncoming vehicles and turns the high beams on and off. Lane-keeping assist signals with audible and visual cues if your car drifts outside its lane. Rear cross-traffic collision warning is helpful when driving with low visibility. When a vehicle approaches your car, warnings will alert you before the traffic appears in your rearview camera.
