Sedans are some of the most popular cars you’ll find on the road. They generally have a sleek exterior design, handle well, and get good gas mileage. You’ll find all of these attributes and more when you drive a Hyundai sedan. Let’s look at several key features of the three sedan models offered by Hyundai.

Accent

When you’re looking for an affordable, four-door, subcompact sedan, consider the Hyundai Accent. It comes in three trim levels: SE, SEL, and Limited. All trims feature a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 120 horsepower. Across the three trims, a six-speed manual transmission comes standard with the option to choose a continuously variable transmission. The Accent’s drivetrain is front-wheel drive, and the car gets a combined fuel economy of 33 mpg.

Inside the SE trim, you get a 5-inch touch screen with a Bluetooth hands-free audio system and a rearview camera. Upgrades in the SEL include alloy wheels, an infotainment system with a 7-inch touch screen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. For a bit more luxury, the Limited builds on the SEL by adding a sunroof, heated front seats, and extra safety features.

Elantra

Also in the Hyundai sedan lineup is the Elantra model. This compact car is offered in six trim levels: the SE, SEL, Value Edition, Limited, Eco, and Sport. Depending on which trim you pick, you’ll find one of three engines: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 147 horsepower, a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 128 horsepower, or a fuel-efficient 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 128 horsepower on the Eco trim.

The four lower trims are equipped with a continuously variable transmission, while the Eco and Sport trims come with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. All trims are front-wheel drive and have an average combined fuel economy of 34 mpg. Except for in the SE, you’ll find a 7-inch touch-screen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, Bluetooth, and dual USB ports. You’ll also get several standard and available safety and driver-assist features.

Sonata

The Sonata has a sports coupe design with an aggressive grille and slick LED lights that make it look stylish and give it head-turning appeal. Choose your Sonata from the four trim levels, SE, SEL, SEL Plus, and Limited. Depending on the trim level, engine choices include a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 180 horsepower or a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 191 horsepower. Paired with both engines is an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drivetrain. The combined fuel economy for the sporty Sonata is 31 mpg.

Hyundai’s infotainment system features an 8-inch touch screen or an optional 12-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. As you move up the trim levels, added features include heated front seats, a wireless charging pad, a hands-free smart trunk, and upgraded upholstery. Standard and available safety features include forward-collision warning with pedestrian braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and lane monitoring-assist systems.
