It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here. The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has set tires in Arkansas. Announced in the summer of 2023, the word on the street was a new Santa Fe would make its appearance sometime in early 2024. When first announced, little was known about the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. A complete reimagining of the Santa Fe was teased, including a new exterior and interior. Then, in August, the all-new Santa Fe debuted on Hyundai’s YouTube channel, giving fans worldwide the chance to get a glimpse of the new design, including the unique H-shape in the headlights.

Giving us a bit more information in late fall, Hyundai announced their “Open for More” concept that proposed expanding everyday experiences by connecting both city and nature, inside and outside. In keeping with the new motto and in honor of its namesake, Santa Fe, New Mexico, was chosen as the backdrop for the world premiere film.

While a lot of information was up in the air, it was finally determined that the 2024 Santa Fe would come in the following trims: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy. A planned hybrid model has also been announced to debut later in 2024. Not only is the new Santa Fe completely redesigned, but it also added third-row seating.

According to a Hyundai press release, early reviews praised the new model’s quick acceleration, stability at high speeds, European-style ride, comfort and quietness, distinctive design, and its many features. So far, so good! It sounds like the new Santa Fe is living up to all the hype and more.

The press release also noted the Santa Fe was radically transformed for its fifth generation. While anyone can see the new exterior is different, the inside changes weren’t as easily seen. However, the release specifically called out its enlarged tailgate opening and expanded interior space, designed to help facilitate outdoor adventures.

Some other great features noted on Hyundai’s website include dual wireless device charging. Yep. That’s right. You can now charge two phones at once. To keep up with the times even more, there’s a UV-C sterilization compartment that kills germs using UV light.

For fun, Hyundai debuted a new commercial featuring a Viking family driving the Santa Fe with the tagline “Your inner Viking wants to come out and play.” It ties back into being modern as well as providing everything you need for an off-road adventure.

The website reiterates this message when it describes the new Santa Fe as having a rugged interior trim and accents. The HTRAC All Wheel Drive and 4,500-lb towing capacity make the adventure possible with help from its 18-inch dark alloy wheels and all-terrain tires.
